Diamniadio, July 8 (APS) – The President of the Republic has asked his collaborators involved in the work of the Diamniadio-Diass (west) railway line to deliver this infrastructure next December, the deadline indicated for the end of the work.
Work on the regional express train (TER) line between Diamniadio and Blaise-Diagne International Airport (AIBD) in Diass began several months ago.
”Naturally, other challenges await us to complete the TER. Let the work therefore continue, with the same diligence and the same determination,” said Macky Sall, addressing the ministers concerned by this project, in particular those in charge of Infrastructure, Finance and the Economy, as well as the director general of APIX, the agency in charge of investments and major state works.
The first phase of the TER, which extends over around thirty kilometers between Dakar and Diamniadio, was inaugurated in December 2021.
Macky Sall praised the performance of the Turkish construction and public works company Summa, which built the TER railway station in Diass.
”Since the construction of the Abdou-Diouf International Conference Center, the Dakar Arena, the Abdoulaye-Wade Stadium, through the completion of the works of the AIBD and other infrastructures, you have accustomed us to meeting deadlines and delivery of the work before the date indicated,” said Macky Sall, speaking to Summa’s CEO, Selim Bora.
