A Dell started this week the sales of the long awaited Monitor UltraSharp 32″ 6K (U3224KB) — inclusive no Brazil. Unveiled at this year’s CES, the monitor stands out for its high resolution and a variety of features. To have it, however, it will be necessary to disburse exact R$20.220.

The monitor has a panel of 31.5 inches, which offers a dense 6K resolution with 6144×3456 pixels. Although it operates at a standard refresh rate of up to 60Hz, the company promises a visually stunning experience.

The U3224KB, as we mentioned in January, enters the market as a direct competitor to the Pro Display XDR from Apple (which costs from R$45 thousand), making the Dell option considerably more “affordable” for consumers.

The new UltraSharp, in turn, uses the technology IPS Black from LG, which aims to reproduce the deep blacks found in Mini-LED and OLED panels. With a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, surpassing conventional IPS panels, the device offers more vibrant images, although it loses in that regard to Apple’s option, which has a ratio of 1,000,000:1.

It features a 10-bit panel, allowing a wide range of colors and support for many standards, including Display P3 (developed by Apple). Furthermore, the U3224KB is also DisplayHDR 600 certified, although its brightness level is lower than Pro Display XDR.

In contrast, Dell’s new monitor offers versatility with its productivity-oriented features. The company included an integrated 4K-resolution webcam with an HDR CMOS sensor — outperforming conventional 1080p webcams on the market.

It has tilt adjustment (0 to 20 degrees) and supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. Users can even choose between three field of view settings: 60º, 78º or 90º.

In terms of connectivity, the Dell monitor has mini DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4 ports, which offer high transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps and up to 140W of power to the PC. On the front are USB-A and USB-C ports, and on the back is a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port.

Competitively priced and packed with features, the company positions the new UltraSharp as an attractive choice for both Windows and macOS users.

Priced at R$20,220, the monitor is undoubtedly an interesting alternative to the Pro Display XDR. The Dell UltraSharp 32″ 6K is now available for purchase on Dell’s official website. In the United States, it costs US$3,200 — US$1,800 less than the Pro Display XDR.
