Things got heated last night in Chicago when the Bulls and Bucks met. Midway through the third quarter, DeMar DeRozan saw red when Grayson Allen landed a low kick on him. No wonder given the history that exists between the Milwaukee fullback and the Bulls…
2 and 2 make 4. The sky is blue. And Grayson Allen finds himself in the middle of a confusion during a game between Chicago and Milwaukee.
There are things that never change in this world, further proof last night at the United Center. With just under seven minutes left in the third quarter, Grayson Allen went and rammed DeMar DeRozan in the back – with his arm forward – following contact with Patrick Williams.

Involuntary gesture caused by the small stroller of Williams? It is in any case the version of Allen. We want to say “Looool”, not to us Grayson, not to us. After his fall, the Bulls All-Star rearman got up directly to say a few words to Allen, just to make him understand that enough of the low blows. “He has a history with us” will declare DeMar after the meeting to explain his reaction, obviously referring to the action involving Alex Caruso last season.
Unlike the bald divine, wrist injury victim after Grayson’s nasty move, there was no heist for DeRozan. On the contrary, this action boosted him more than anything else, DMDR dropping a huge performance at 42 points to allow Chicago to snatch victory in overtime 119-113. But seeing DeMar warm up like this with an opponent – which is far from a habit for him – shows how Allen has become a public enemy in the Windy City.

Nice DeRozan’s dedication to Marjanovic, a 2m24 giant reputed to be the nicest player in the entire NBA. Obviously quite the opposite of Allen, whom many place in the “dirty player” category. This new episode will clearly not help his reputation throughout the NBA and in particular in Chicago, where he is whistled each time he steps on the floor with the jersey of Milwaukee (division rival moreover, the two cities n being separated by only 150 kilometres).
Grayson Allen and the Bulls, looks like it’s a love that’s made to last. And two other dates are still scheduled during this 2022-23 regular season, on February 16 in Chicago and April 5 in Milwaukee.
