Jeddah: Demolition of buildings in Almuntasahat has started. The demolition of buildings in Muntasahat is a continuation of the demolition of ancient buildings in different parts of Jeddah with the aim of slum development. The notice period for residents of the area to vacate their homes had expired the previous day. At the same time, the Jeddah Slum Committee is continuing its work as per the fixed plan.
The committee stated that it will continue to provide services to the residents of the demolished areas through the committee’s headquarters or the Jeddah Municipality’s website. With the start of removal of buildings in Muntasahat, the number of districts where buildings have been removed has increased to 29. Slums in 32 districts are being demolished. Now the buildings in three districts have to be demolished.
