From December 12 to 25, 2022, 8 cases of dengue fever were recorded, compared to 9 cases for the previous fortnight. The virus continues to circulate on the island at a very low level.
In 2022, the ARS counted 1,212 confirmed cases compared to 29,577 cases in 2021. A significant drop but with the return of the rains and the installation of the austral summer, the weather conditions become more favorable to the development of mosquitoes.
