A woman in Minnesota, US, has decided to sue her dentist who allegedly performed so many procedures in one visit that she received too much anesthesia and was left disfigured.

Kathleen Wilson claimed that her dentist, Dr. Kevin Molldrem, placed eight dental crowns, four root canals and 20 fillings on her during a single visit to his office in 2020, the Star Tribune after obtaining the court documents.

The specialist also allegedly falsified his patient’s medical records in order to hide the dose of anesthesia of 960 milligrams that he administered to her, much more than the maximum dose of 490 milligrams authorized for a long procedure, again according to the media.

To support her point, Ms. Wilson had her medical records reviewed by Dr. Avrum Goldstein, a Florida dentist, who agreed that such a procedure was dangerous.

According to him, doing so many procedures on 28 teeth would be “impossible to achieve” if it had been done according to the rules of the art.

Ms. Wilson is demanding 50,000 US dollars for moral damages and to help her reimburse the medical costs of repairs, while she had to be treated for several months in order to “try to stabilize her mouth”, indicated the Star Tribune.
