Deprived of Capela, Atlanta bows to Houston

Atlanta suffered a bitter defeat Friday in the NBA. The Hawks lost 128-122 on the floor of the ‘dunce’ of the League, Houston, which thus picked up its 4th success of the season in 18 games.

The absence of Clint Capela, victim of toothache, does not explain everything, even if the Hawks were largely dominated under the panels in the absence of their Geneva pivot (59 rebounds for Houston, 28 for Atlanta). Especially since the Georgian franchise was up to 16 points ahead in the third quarter (90-74).

The Hawks sank in the final minutes, despite Trae Young’s 44 points and Dejounte Murray’s 39. They have not managed to chain two consecutive victories since November 7, when they beat Milwaukee to sign a third success in a row. Since then, they have only won four out of nine matches.
