Deputy José Évrard, loyal to Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, died of Covid-19

The deputy (Debout la France) of Pas-de-Calais, José Evrard, 76, died this Friday as a result of Covid-19, we learned from his entourage. “He had been hospitalized since December 27, following breathing difficulties”, confides in Parisian Guillaume Kaznowski, his parliamentary attaché, himself contaminated by Covid-19 at this period.

José Evrard had opposed the vaccination obligation and the health pass, but had never publicly indicated whether or not he was vaccinated.

“To his wife, his children, his relatives, as well as to his colleagues and collaborators, I send my thoughts moved and united in the sorrow”, indicated Richard Ferrand, the president of the National Assembly.

“I have just learned with great sadness of the disappearance of my friend and colleague José Evrard. I send my most sincere condolences, on behalf of all the members of Debout La France, to his wife and his son, ”for his part indicated Nicolas Dupont-Aignan on Twitter.

First elected Communist, then RN, José Evrard was attached to the Debout la France group and was head of the party’s list for the regional in Hauts-de-France in 2021.
