“People are taking their precautions but, with a storm of this magnitude, we are talking regarding life-threatening, it is going to produce large amounts of rain,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said at a press conference on Tuesday. Much of Florida’s west coast is under a hurricane or tropical storm warning for Ian as it heads toward the United States, where it is expected to make landfall on Wednesday.
