Designing Efficient Electric Motors Using Multiphysics Modeling

In the transition to zero-emission electric vehicles, electric motors play a key role. To design high performance electric motors, the use of a multiphysics approach is necessary in order to improve aspects such as thermal management, power density, reliability, efficiency and cost.

Thursday April 20of 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., COMSOL invites you to participate in a webinar free access to introduce you to the modeling capabilities of the COMSOL Multiphysics software® dedicated to the design of electric motors, by addressing both electromagnetism, thermal, vibrations and mechanical stresses, taking into account the couplings between the physical phenomena involved.

This webinar includes a focus on motor optimization, focusing in particular on the positioning and shape of the magnets of a permanent magnet motor.
A demonstration using the graphical interface of the software illustrates how to calculate various parameters such as motor torque, iron losses and copper losses.

INSCRIPTION

This webinar will be recorded and available as an archive on the COMSOL website the day after the event, April 21.
