At first you look forward to it for weeks. You look forward to sleeping in, good food, sun and the sea. When the time has finally come, the holiday usually flies by. No sooner have you arrived in paradise than you have to go home once more. At least that’s how it feels. When you are back in everyday life, the hangover sometimes sets in with the first ringing of the alarm clock at home. Although you should actually have recharged your batteries on vacation, you feel weaker than before. Some people develop symptoms similar to depression in the first few days following vacation. You’re in a bad mood, you don’t sleep well, you have a headache, and it’s really hard to concentrate. Experts call this the post-holiday syndrome.
