It was the first unexpected result of the 2022 playoffs. Memphis, second in the Western Conference, fell to Minnesota in Game 1 117-130. Without being able to change what happened, Desmond Bane bets on looking forward and turning the intensity of the team on the track; he basically thinks they lacked physicality in the first matchup with the Timberwolves.
