Despite the sanctions, Abramovich makes an offer to buy a Spanish club

Spanish businessman Miguel Zorio, who is trying to buy Valencia for 248 million euros (£207.8 million), said the club’s current owner, Peter Lim, had claimed he had also received an offer from Abramovich.

“Peter Lim tried to sell the club in London for 250 million euros (209.5 million pounds) and it did not work,” Zurio said in comments published by the English newspaper “Metro”.

He added: “Recently, he leaked to the international media that he had two offers to buy, mine and the offer of the Russian owner of Chelsea FC.”

And he continued: “From here, I tell him that either he puts 50 million euros every year to make up for the losses he incurs or he sells it to us, whether he likes it or not.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still in the process of selling the club’s assets, with the four selected bidders given a deadline, in which they can submit improved bids.

The initial deadline for improved bidding was Monday, but the US commercial bank, Wren Group, which is handling the sale of the club, wants to give bidders a full and fair opportunity to appropriately finalize the details of their bids.
