The prosecution at the military court of Ouagadougou decided to order the opening of a detailed investigation, following a denunciation of “the facts according to which soldiers and former soldiers, in intelligence, would carry out the identification of points sensitive and homes including that of the President of the transition and certain civil and military authorities”, in order to destabilize the conduct of the transition,
In a press release, the military prosecutor’s office announced that it had instructed “the research section of the Ouagadougou gendarmerie to open a detailed investigation.” The objective being to arrest “the alleged perpetrators and accomplices”.
In this same press release, the military prosecutor’s office also announced the arrest of 3 soldiers implicated in this affair. They were “presented to an investigating judge who indicted them and placed them in preventive detention for acts of military conspiracy, violation of instructions, conspiracy against state security, criminal conspiracy and endangering the lives of others,” he informed.
According to the prosecution, the accused, including warrant officer Kaboré Windinmaléqdé, master sergeant RAMDE Brice Israel and ex-corporal DAH Sami, all three admitted the facts.
The Prosecutor’s Office at the Ouagadougou military court concludes that investigations are continuing “with a view to establishing all possible implications and drawing all legal consequences”….
