Details of the sentencing of a reviewer to prison and 20 lashes after hitting an employee with a headband and insulting him with obscene words

Al-Marsad newspaper: A criminal court in the Eastern Province sentenced a reference who assaulted an employee by beating an employee with a headband and insulting obscene words, following an argument between them, to 15 days in prison and 20 lashes.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, the plaintiff submitted to the Criminal Court a lawsuit stating that at his workplace in one of the institutions, a reference came to him, the defendant, demanding the return of an amount belonging to a service provided to him by the institution.

He indicated during the lawsuit that he did not respond to him, but the matter developed, and he disbanded and hit him 7 times with the headband, after which the employees intervened and settled the dispute, but the defendant was not satisfied with that, but rather insulted and insulted with inappropriate words.

For his part, the defendant denied directing inappropriate words to the plaintiff and said that I told him, “You are not polite,” which is true, because he raised his voice to me by saying, “We will take the money against you,” as well as what he said that I hit him with a headband, which is also true, And that was after he raised his voice to me and uttered a word to me that I do not remember from him except that I told him, “Keep your voice.”

The case overseer asked the defendant to bring evidence that he had not uttered inappropriate words to the plaintiff, but he answered that he had no evidence, and asked him to take an oath, but he refused because he justified that it was an hour of anger. The court sentenced the defendant to 15 days in prison and 20 lashes, and the verdict was ratified by the Court of Appeal.
