On January 17, Bao stayed at home to look after his nephew B. In the afternoon of the same day, unable to contact Mrs. M., Bao asked his girlfriend to take care of B. to go home to find his mother and ask for money.

At 13:00 on the same day, Bao received 2 million VND because Mrs. M. asked her relatives to transfer money. Seeing that it was not enough 60 million VND, Bao continued to lie that B. was dead. Frustrated by her unfilial son, Mrs. M. reported it to the police.
