São Paulo, June 18 / WAM / Yesterday, a hurricane that hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil claimed the lives of at least 11 people, while 20 others were considered missing.
The state government stated that the storm caused heavy rains, warning of the possibility of landslides in several areas.
The authorities stated that helicopters flew in the flooded areas in search of the missing persons.
