The Indian developer Sharath Seeram25, recently shared how Apple Watch helped him identify and address chronic stress in the workplace.
A resident of Bengaluru, he said to the Times Now that he began receiving alerts of elevated heart rate, prompting him to seek medical advice. After some tests, it became clear that stress was the root of the problem, as everything else was fine.
Seeram faced a highly stressful work environment, made worse by management that did not provide adequate support. He was forced to work long hours, often overtime, without receiving the necessary recognition.
Doctors then advised Sharath to reduce stress or quit his job to prevent future heart damage. After switching companies, he said he improved and highlighted the importance of the Apple Watch in prioritizing his mental health.
The case adds to many others in which the Apple smartwatch proved to be a vital tool for saving lives, including the rescue of an elderly man after a car accident and the early detection of carbon monoxide poisoning.
During the interview, Sharath thanked Apple CEO Tim Cook for the positive impact the device had on his life, reinforcing the value of the Apple Watch as an ally in promoting health and well-being. Not cool?
