Today meet in the quarterfinals of DFB Cup RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund on each other. Both teams suffered bitter defeats on the last Bundesliga matchday.

Can the DFB Cup stop Leipzig’s negative streak? After the highest Champions League defeat at Manchester City (0: 7) and three competitive defeats Leipzig coach Marco Rose faced another problem. Now “the head is also added, you can’t argue that away anymore,” said Rose.
“For me as a coach, it’s about reminding the boys how good they can be – with one big but: we have to think about very simple things, about fundamental virtues. We have to force it for ourselves – it’s a decision we have to make as a team.”
After the clear 2:4 defeat against FC Bayern, BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke is encouraging: “We’re not giving up, there’s no reason to. The road is not over yet,” said Watzke to the newspapers of the Funke media group.
He also supported his goalkeeper Gregor Kobel after his bad mistake to make it 0:1. “Greg will win us the next few games again. It goes on. And on Wednesday,” said the 63-year-old before the quarter-finals of the cup.
