Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Deputy Chief of Dubai Police, Dhahi Khalfan, said that Ukraine should play the role of a “bridge” between Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), on Tuesday, instead of lining up with one of them.
Khalfan said in a tweet on his official page on Twitter: “That Ukraine should not be in a trench with NATO against Russia, nor with Russia against the West, but rather a bridge between the two parties is better than siding with one party without the other,” he said.

The Emirati security official had written in a previous tweet: “If the Russian forces are 30 kilometers from Kyiv, the distance is within the Russians’ range… Peaceful solutions are the best,” as he put it.
