Today, Monday, the Public Prosecution in Egypt continues to investigate the owner of a contracting company and another, accusing them of defrauding the great artist, Sabri Abdel Moneim, in an amount of money amounting to one million and 900 thousand pounds. (about $70,000)

Investigations indicated that the company deluded him into buying his apartment, with documented contracts, for an amount of money other than the truth and defrauded him.

It also revealed that the accused is the owner of the aforementioned company, and that she wrote to the artist a bank check for the agreed amount of 36 thousand dollars, but he was surprised after handing over the apartment to the company that they had defrauded him of a financial amount of one million and 900 thousand pounds after he issued them a general power of attorney to sell the apartment.

For his part, the artist, Sabry Abdel Moneim, revealed that the prosecution is investigating all parties to the case, stressing that it has received promises to return his right to the apartment after obtaining a forged check from the owner of the company, according to what was reported by the “Masrawy” website.

And he added, “One million and 900 thousand pounds are the life’s burden for me, and I put them in the apartment in which I set myself up.”

And the investigation authorities in Cairo had summoned, last Wednesday, the artist, Sabri Abdel Moneim, to listen to his statements after he was subjected to fraud from a company owner.

The prosecution decided to imprison the owner of a contracting company and another, accusing them of defrauding the artist, Sabri Abdel Moneim, in an amount of one million and 900 thousand pounds, for 4 days, pending investigations.
