Released this summer, Diablo IV is undoubtedly one of the major games of this year 2023. However, PC players were only able to get their hands on it on Battle.net: the situation will be corrected very soon thanks to… Steam.
A hell of a success
Expected like the messiah by an impressive and ultra-solid community, Diablo IV was first offered through closed betas before finalizing its arrival le 6 juin 2023 sur PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series et PC. In fact, the title was a complete hit: it established itself as the best launch in the history of Blizzard, a studio which does not deserve its reputation since the origin of mega-hits like World of Warcraft, Starcraft , Overwatch… or therefore the previous Diablo.
No matter, it’s the fourth numbered episode of this latest saga that won everything, collecting in the process a nice average of 86% on a certain Metacritic (and a very good mark in our columns). But so far, This hack’n slash blockbuster was only available on PC via Battle.net, Activision’s platform. This will soon no longer be the case.
Highway to hell
Battle.net is Activision’s platform and it is used for the purchase and exploitation of well-known licenses, of which Diablo IV is obviously one. But because the title is ultimately a game perfectly intended for the PC, which also has its origins there, many players were fiercely awaiting its arrival on Steam: it will take place on October 17, 2023, or in twelve short days.
If you’re a fan of the Valve store and/or have a long-standing collection there, not to mention the unlockable achievements, so know that Diablo IV can be pre-ordered here on Steam in all its editions. A priori, and even if many players have already switched to Battle.net, Blizzard’s game has a good chance of becoming a bigger hit than it already was.
We also recall that The Season of Blood will begin on October 17, which will offer new scripted missions around a vampire theme with a lot of new features. Enough to prolong the experience as it should be!
