Kochi: The Youth Congress has responded to writer S. Sharadakutty who criticized the UDF candidature and the Congress leadership in Thrikkakara. Rahul Mankoottam, state general secretary of the Youth Congress, asked when it was up to a person and his movement to decide when a person should contest an election.
Is it fair to ask why Gopalettan (AKG) did not contest his wife Susheela Etta before contesting? – Rahul asks sarcastically. To Sharadakutty’s statement that Uma Thomas is contesting for sympathy and tears, Rahul also cites the history of her relatives contesting when the LDF MP died.
The Facebook post says that it was because Uma Thomas is a UDF member or that he was seen as a romantic creation about Uma.
