The digital driving license is celebrating its first birthday and has been activated over 380,000 times so far. “A year ago, we achieved a significant milestone in the digitization of public ID cards with the digital driver’s license. With ID Austria as the basis for all digital ID cards, not only has a modern proof of identity been developed, it is also an important contribution to cybersecurity in Austria.” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP).
