PERFORMANCE Bank DKI accelerated the development of digital-based products and services resulting in the Top BUMD 2024 with Digital Transformation Initiatives and Banking Accessibility award from Warta Ekonomi media.

The award was handed over to the Director of Technology and Operations and Acting Main Director (Plt) of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono at the 2024 Indonesia Best BUMD Awards held in Jakarta, earlier this month.

Amirul expressed his appreciation for the award given, while also giving his view that banking today is experiencing an era of intense competition. Therefore, Bank DKI adapts, develops and innovates continuously, as an effort to continue to grow sustainably.

“This award will also be an encouragement and motivation for Bank DKI to continue to innovate, and develop products and services that answer the needs, and become the main choice of the people of Jakarta, as well as a form of support for achieving the vision of Jakarta as a Global City,” said Amirul.

Bank DKI’s success in winning the award as Top BUMD 2024 with Digital Transformation Initiatives and Banking Accessibility was based on a number of assessment indicators carried out by the Warta Ekonomi team.

This assessment includes financial performance and company strategic policies in product and service innovation, business strategy, business integration and business expansion.
As for the approach taken, the Warta Ekonomi research team used desk research and media monitoring in the assessment process to determine the winners of the 2024 Best BUMD Awards.

CEO & Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi Group, Muhamad Ihsan, in his opening speech said that Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) have an important role in encouraging economic growth, including in handling inflation, maintaining price stability and developing micro, small and medium enterprises.

“The business development program run by BUMD is integrated with regional economic development, one of which is also carrying out the function of regional government in providing public services,” explained Ihsan.

Bank DKI corporate secretary, Arie Rinaldi, on a different occasion added that digital transformation is an important step for Bank DKI in responding to increasingly diverse customer needs and supporting regional economic development.

“As a Regional Development Bank, Bank DKI plays a role in expanding access to financial services for the community through various digital innovations, collaboration with various parties, as well as providing support for various DKI Jakarta Provincial Government programs,” said Arie.

In encouraging digitalization, Bank DKI has made various efforts, including the development of digital-based service applications such as JakOne Mobile and JakOne Abank, electronification of payments on integrated transportation modes, tourist attractions managed by the DKI Provincial Government, digitalization of market payments managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya, and various collaborations with BPD , BUMD and other entities.

The number of users of the JakOne Mobile Bank DKI application for the December 2023 period reached 2.23 million people, growing 12.11% (YoY) compared to the same period in 2022, with a transaction volume of 29.61 million transactions and nominal transactions reaching IDR 30.62 trillion. .

The number of JakOne Abank application users reached 4.99 thousand people, growing 170.42% (YoY) compared to the December 2022 period, with a transaction volume of 3.18 million transactions and transaction nominal reaching IDR 1.72 trillion.

Meanwhile, JakOne Merchant users for the December 2023 period reached 31.47 thousand people, growing 101.39% (YoY) compared to the same period in 2022, with a transaction volume of 3.25 million transactions and transaction nominal reaching IDR 533.55 billion.

Including the latest Jakarta Tourist Pass, which is a collaboration between Bank DKI and the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of DKI Jakarta Province in providing digital solutions for tourists in the city of Jakarta which makes it easier for tourists to access popular destinations, transportation and other tourism services in Jakarta.
