Egyptian actress Dina El-Sherbiny spoke for the first time about her relationship with her ex-husband, Egyptian star Amr Diab. She revealed that she was exposed to various health crises after her separation from Diab, which required her hospitalization, stressing that if she were not “positive”, she would have faced very difficult times.
Sherbiny said when she appeared in an interview with the media, Sherine Arafa, in a recorded video broadcast on her account on “Instagram”: “After the separation, I got tired a lot, and while I was at the El Gouna Festival, I followed a strict health regime, and as a result my health worsened, and I was taken to the hospital.”
She added that she took “slimming” drugs without consulting a doctor in order to help her show her grace on the red carpet, but she was subjected to widespread ridicule on social networking sites and circulated her pictures in a sarcastic manner, which saddened her and made her enter into a health crisis for a week.
El-Sherbiny confirmed that although she was not interested in criticism, she was greatly affected by the mockery of her at the El Gouna Film Festival, adding: “I generally do not focus on audience criticism because of an old problem in my life, but all that matters to me are my family.” She said that she refuses to talk about the relationship she had with Diab, because their relationship ended a long time ago, and that in the past she could have talked about him, given that their lives were together, noting that she was pressured to talk about that relationship, but she refused.
She confirmed that she lived beautiful days and there were no bad days in their relationship, and described him as a successful and respected person, pointing out that the public’s criticism of her relationship with him “was inhuman”, and that she feels that God loves her and protects her from all the problems she faces.
El-Sherbiny indicated that she faced incredible rumors, saying: “They brought me pregnant 4 times, I don’t know where,” and revealed that she is ready to love and be emotionally connected again, but she may hide her relationships due to controversy, criticism and rumors, especially that it affects her and her family.
