Direct – War in Ukraine: electricity cut in kyiv and in ten regions after the Russian attack

According to the Ukrainian president, power was restored on Sunday evening for some 9 million residents. Last week, the Ukrainian president’s Western allies promised to provide him with additional emergency aid of one billion euros.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is due to announce to him on Monday the delivery to Ukraine of a large quantity of artillery ammunition, during a meeting with leaders from Northern Europe, the Baltics and the Netherlands in Latvia.

Several Ukrainian military officials have warned that Moscow is planning a major winter offensive, with the capital kyiv as its target.
