Director General of RUSADA on the investigation of Valieva’s case: “In our work, we strictly follow the provisions of regulatory documents, namely, the requirements of WADA” – Figure Skating

Director General of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) Veronika Loginova spoke about the investigation into the case of figure skater Kamila Valieva.

During the 2022 Olympics, it turned out that the December test of Valieva was positive for the banned drug trimetazidine.

“In its work, RUSADA strictly follows the provisions of regulatory documents, namely, the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code and international standards, which indicate the need for a confidential investigation.

To conduct a thorough investigation, of course, it takes time, the investigation continues,” Loginova said.

It is very sad if Valieva remains in history not a unique figure skater, but just a girl who was accused of doping
