Dr. Rubén Sánchez, director of the Hospital de Cabimas, told El Regional del Zulia, that he resigned on Tuesday 9-M from his duties at this important health center, for personal reasons. He reported that provisionally, Dr. Lourdes Trujillo, will take over as manager of the hospital.
He explained that such a decision to deliver the address is totally personal and within the current legal framework. “I would never go back on my principles, I have always been willing to give everything for everything”.
He reiterated that for very personal reasons he made the decision to make his position available, for which he will formalize his resignation before the Zulia State Health Secretariat, in charge of Dr. María Moreno.
He mentioned that among the achievements made during his administration since September 27, 2022, the Delivery Room project stands out, which includes the restoration of sewage, lighting, changing doors, locks, and cleaning; remaining to complete 4 barrels and putties of which the material is being left for completion.
He stressed that the conditioning and restructuring for the operation of the surgery consultation, which was closed for 10 years, was also carried out.
Sánchez assured that the fully functional reconditioning, lighting and restructuring of the bathrooms on the second floor (pediatrics) was achieved, which was inoperative for 8 years.
He added that the reopening of the fourth floor with 24 beds for Surgery and Traumatology was achieved, which had not been working for more than 10 years.
In addition, it alleged that the Blood Bank service and the spaces of the External Traumatology and Surgery Consultation were reopened.
Likewise, he said that during his management, the main pump with pipes was repaired, for the arrival of water, as well as lighting was installed in the main corridor of the address, repair of the elevator. Security was provided at several doors of the institution’s services, as well as the remodeling and conditioning of the sub-director’s office.
