Disable Outline Mode to Better See Plants and Fields to Harvest – World of Warcraft

For several years, World of Warcraft has offered an option to increase or decrease the visibility of certain elements such as herbalism plants and mining deposits. By selecting the right option, you can facilitate their discovery, which can be very practical when approaching areas that you do not yet know, which will be the case with Dragonflight from November 29.

When opening the options, use the search to find “Outline Mode”. You can also find it by going to System–>Graphics—>Advanced.

By default, it is likely to be on High. But by disabling the option, you can force the display of the flickering that occurs when you approach a mineral or a grass.

Note in passing that the Outline Mode is also displayed in other game options, where we see that it is activated by default for quest objectives and mouse over.

In practice, here’s what it looks like. Some players will appreciate seeing these elements better, while others, on the contrary, like having to look for them in the landscape.
