Disappearance. Marathon world record holder Kelvin Kiptum dies

The Kenyan Kelvin Kiptum (24), who became the fastest man in the world in a marathon since October 8 by completing the 42.195 km from Chicago in 2h00’35, died this Sunday in a road accident according to the press Kenyan.

The man who was driving a car apparently lost control of his vehicle, fell into a ravine 60 meters below and hit a tree.

Three people were in the car. Kiptum and his trainer, Rwandan Garvais Hakizaman, died instantly. A woman, Sharon Kosgey, managed to get out of the car and was taken to the hospital.
