No less than 525 artisans will open the doors of their workshops to the curious this Sunday, November 19 on the occasion of the 17th Artisan Day. Visits, demonstrations, workshops and even tastings will be offered throughout the day.
“Meeting artisans from your region during this day is a way of discovering and supporting Belgian creativity and know-how,” underlines Minister of SMEs David Clarinval. “Artisans are key players in our economy. Furthermore, they embody the current desires of consumers: local, authentic, useful and high-quality production. It is all the more important to support them because, in recent years , the crises will not have spared these small producers.”
Like the geographical distribution of the 525 participating artisans, their activities are broad and varied. The curious will be able to meet chocolatiers, brewers, perfumers, or even leather workers, watchmakers or carpenters.
