A crucial milestone

The move of GDL Camper, previously known as Garage du Lion, represents a crucial milestone for the company. Located at 57 Grand-Rue in Corgémont, it enjoys an ideal location on the main road near Bienne, Sonceboz and the A16 motorway. “Our accessibility is just as attractive as in Tavannes, thanks to a strategic location further south,” emphasizes Elvis Lehmann, director of the company which has been passed down from father to son. In a nod to its heritage, the company retains the GDL acronym in its name, which stands for “Garage du Lion”.

Impressive new facilities

The brand new building in Corgémont, extending over an area of 1,500 m2, includes spacious and contemporary premises and offices, a workshop equipped with the latest equipment and impeccable after-sales service. It also houses a 200 m2 accessories store offering everything you need for camping. Flagship brands such as Chausson, Adria, Sunliving, Karmann, Caravelair, Silver and mini Silver are offered. Moreover, GDL Camper expands its range of leisure vehicles by introducing the Panama brand, which specializes in pop-up roof mini-camping vans, similar to the VW T6 California. For the sales sector, around 50 vehicles are on display and available from stock.

Thanks to this move, the company was able to consolidate its rental business with an impressive fleet of 23 vehicles, supported by a team of 23 dedicated employees.

The importance of diversification

According to Elvis Lehmann, diversification is of paramount importance for GDL Camper. The company is thus structured around several areas of activity, such as sales, rental, the store and the workshop, each of which has contributed to its success. Enthusiasm for leisure and attention to the well-being of customers, combined with a family spirit that continues despite the expansion of the company, are the foundations of this success.
