Egypt’s international star Mohamed Salah, captain of the national team and Liverpool’s top scorer, posted a picture of himself on his Instagram account of the book he is currently reading inside the Egyptian national team’s camp in preparation for the African Cup of Nations.
There were many comments on the photo on social media, and many considered it a message from Salah to his critics recently.
The paragraphs chosen by Mohamed Salah say: “They wanted you to remain traditional, ordinary, like them, not asking, thinking, or feeling… They wanted you not to take risks… and surrender… to everything that is false, fragile, and empty. They were tempting you with familiar success… and a well-known path. And an ordinary life… and the wish was your distortion, your abandonment of your nature, and your shedding of your skin, so that a false self emerges from you, adapted to the written text, compatible with the plan prepared in advance… it only takes the path drawn, arranged, and detailed according to its size.”
What book is Mohamed Salah reading?
The paragraphs that Salah chose to publish are from the book “Departing from the Text Again” by Dr. Muhammad Taha, published by Dar Al-Shorouk.
These paragraphs were mentioned by the writer, psychiatrist Mohamed Taha, in the eighth chapter of his book, in which he presents a psychosocial analysis of the film Adjustment Bureau, entitled “Departing from the Script.”
The only thing that rejects the judiciary is supplication:

Dr. wrote. Muhammad Taha says: You know that you have the ability to change events and the course of things.. You know that you can change fate.. and repel the judiciary. Imagine that you are the one who determines God’s position on you.. It is not the movie that says that.. nor am I the one who prays for it.. This is our Lord and His Noble Messenger who taught us this.
When the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “No judgment can be rejected except supplication. Our Lord remains in your hand the key that will change the events and course of your life with His permission, and this will also be part of the judgment that He – Glory be to Him – is destined by His knowledge and power.
And when our Lord Almighty says in the Holy Hadith: “If the servant draws near to Me by a span, I draw near to him by a cubit, and if he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by a length, and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him jogging… then you are the one who determines our Lord’s attitude towards you… and the beginning is always with you.
And when our Lord says: “And we are closer to Him than our jugular vein…there remains no barrier, mediator, or guardian between you and our Lord.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that Salah has been keen to send messages through his readings, or to recommend some books to his followers.
