Like every year, Italy will see its eternal flood of tourists surge on the beaches. In Sardinia, you can swim in transparent water and bask on fine sand.

However, on Sant’Antioco beach, that’s all you can do. Indeed, Ignazio Locci, the mayor of the town, has decided to put in place a list of rules to be applied on this beach and it has its share of prohibitions. The penalties can also go up to 500 euros.

Among these prohibitions, we find that of eating any food on the beach. The sport also goes by the wayside, as well as using a stone to stabilize a parasol. The inhabitants widely criticized these rules but the mayor remained firm.
