Do you dream of visiting one of the best cities on the planet? You just need to stay in Montreal, according to the Lonely Planet who classified the metropolis third among the most interesting cities to visit on the planet in 2024.
Montreal finds itself on the podium of must-see cities because of its numerous festivals and events, its unique neighborhoods, its culinary scene and its art galleries, boasts the Lonely Planet in his list unveiled on Wednesday.
“This year, with new museums, revamped attractions, ever more dynamic restaurants and more transportation options that make it easier to access, the metropolitan region is ready to be put forward,” explained the magazine to justify his choice.
Montreal is the only Canadian city to have made it into the top 10 cities to see in 2024. In fact, for its 50th anniversary, the Lonely Planet has drawn up five distinct rankings – countries, regions, cities, sustainable development and values – from which Canada is completely excluded, with the exception of Montreal.
The distinction awarded to the metropolis was a delight for Tourisme Montréal.
