So go to the Espace Toro, a privileged place open to the novice public during the Feria, in which the bullfighting clubs share their passion with you and offer educational workshops (parlor bullfighting, explanations of the Sorteo, handkerchiefs, ‘suit of light…) Bullfighting will no longer have any secrets for you… Olé!

CONFERENCE “ON THE TRACES OF A COSTUME OF LIGHT”
Come and discover, during an intervention, the study and investigation work carried out by Lou Grégoire, student restorer at the École Supérieure d’Art d’Avignon to retrace the history and evolution of a costume of lights from the beginning of the 20th century, recently entered into the museum’s collections.

To celebrate Carré d’art’s 30th anniversary, the museum is presenting the original works used to create the Feria posters. Since 1984, the City of Nîmes has commissioned the poster marking this major event in the life of the city from a renowned contemporary artist.

ON DISPLAY ! THE FERIA UNDER THE CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Carré d’art, the Musée des Cultures Taurines has chosen to present the original works used to create the posters for the Feria de Nîmes. Since 1984, the City of Nîmes has commissioned the poster marking this major event in the life of the city from a renowned contemporary artist. The presentation of all the original works on these posters allows us to discuss the relationship between local tradition, bullfighting and contemporary art and the codes of their representation, both in its themes and its artistic developments over the last forty years.
