Discover the Forgotten Heritage: Monumental Greenhouses Built in 1828

We set off to discover a site which housed an almost forgotten heritage in the 19th century… monumental greenhouses built in 1828 by the architect Petersen who, a few years later, designed the Botanique greenhouses in Brussels. Once grandiose greenhouses, renowned internationally, pioneers in terms of botanical specimens from elsewhere.

Today, only the two ends of the building remain, namely the two orangeries, which were transformed in 2019 into a third place welcoming artists in residence.
