Al-Marsad Newspaper: Traveler Walid Al-Ghamdi narrated the most dangerous details of his visits to a Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka.
He said in an interview with the “My Lady” program that he visited the temple located in the city of Kandy, which was built on the “year” of Buddha’s teeth.
He added, “During the funeral of Buddha, a couple obtained (the tooth) and smuggled it from India to Sri Lanka. A temple was built and this tooth was placed in it.”
And he continued: “Buddhists celebrate this tooth every year and bring a group of elephants and put the tooth in a bowl of gold.”
He pointed out that at the end of the trip, one of the people discovered his true religion and that he is a Muslim, and he gave him some religious books related to the Buddhist religion.
