Hello techies!

Did you hear it? Apple is working on a brand new version of Siri for the iPhone 16, and this time, it will be equipped with the most advanced artificial intelligence.

AI is really hot this year, and all the big tech companies are fans of it. At WWDC 2023, Apple announced several AI-focused developments, without even using the terms “AI” or “artificial intelligence.”

Already, AI is an integral part of your iPhone, with Siri and Spotlight to name a few. But according to rumors, the iPhone 16 could benefit from even better AI features, as Apple is seriously considering betting big on Siri, to make it the ultimate virtual assistant.

It’s a leaker Tech_Reve shared Apple’s AI ambitions on X. According to this source, Apple is currently using a LLM (large language model) to completely upgrade Siri into “the ultimate virtual assistant.”

This AI upgrade is in progress, and the first product is expected to be revealed at WWDC 2024. The leaker also claims that the iPhone 16 will benefit from this revised Siri.

Speaking of upgrades, Samsung recently unveiled its generation AI suite called Gauss at its AI Forum in Seoul. Gauss is expected to come to the Galaxy S24 series in early 2024. Rumors suggest that Samsung may charge users for using the Galaxy S24’s AI tools.

Either way, Siri’s AI makeover should make it more conversational and capable of doing a lot more things than it currently does. This should also allow the iPhone 16 series to compete against the AI-powered Samsung S24 lineup.

In the meantime, the new iPhones appear to be a minimal upgrade so far. We expect to see a new A18 Pro chip on all four models, as well as some camera and display improvements. The iPhone 16 is expected to launch in fall 2024.

With that, stay tuned for more updates on the latest technological advancements!
