Sanctuary is an unstable place: danger lurks at every moment and the return of Lilith marks the beginning of new trials for the souls who have the misfortune to live in these lands. If these poor people have few material goods, their fascinating stories help them compensate for this lack.
THE Sanctuary stories are a series of free short stories set in the Diablo IV universe. They reveal new characters, but also include some familiar faces. The third of these short stories is titled “The Sanctuary of Bones” by Carly Anne West and you can read it below.

Tejal tells the story of Iolaynah, who ventures into the moors of Scosglen in search of her missing sister, and Droman Grigso, the wizard with whom the latter wished to study. But deep within the dilapidated halls of Grigso’s mysterious sanctuary, Iolaynah uncovers dark secrets and the remnants of the atrocities he committed.
