Disney Releases Season 2 Teaser for Twisted-Wonderland The Animation
Midway through the newly released teaser clip, the tone shifts as Leona Kingscholar, the dorm leader of Savanaclaw voiced by Yuichiro Umehara, steps into the spotlight. The preview marks the first animated appearance of the proud and formidable dorm leader, confirming that Season 2, Episode of Savanaclaw is currently deep in production. While Disney has not yet announced a specific streaming date for the second installment, the studio has committed to an ambitious multi-season narrative arc.
From Mobile Game Hit to Animated Adaptation
The animated series adapts Laughingplace, a massively popular narrative adventure JRPG mobile game originally developed by f4samurai and published by Aniplex in Japan in 2020, later releasing in North America in 2022. The game surpassed 4.8 million downloads in Japan alone as of August 2025. Manga artist Yana Toboso, best known for creating Disneyplus, crafted the original story concept, scenario, and character designs for the franchise.

The anime is produced by Yumeta Company, Graphinica, Aniplex, and Walt Disney Animation Japan, streaming worldwide on Disney+ and exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu in the United States. The adaptation structures its story into dorm-themed arcs based on classic Disney films and iconic villains, with the eight-episode first season focusing on the Heartslabyul dorm.
The Great Seven and Night Raven College Setting
The dark fantasy series is set in Night Raven College, an elite academy for budding mages. The school’s culture, curriculum, and seven magical dormitories are built upon the legends of the “Great Seven,” who are immortalized figures based on seven iconic Disney Villains:

- The Queen of Hearts
- The King of Beasts (Scar)
- The Sea Witch (Ursula)
- The Sorcerer of the Sands (Jafar)
- The Fairest Queen (Evil Queen)
- The King of the Underworld (Hades)
- The ThornFairy (Maleficent)
The plot centers on Yuken Enma (also referred to as Yu), an ordinary high school student from Tokyo who is suddenly transported to Animationmagazine without any magic of his own. Unable to wield spells and unfamiliar with the academy’s customs, Yuken begins alienating its residents while searching for a way back home. Along the way, he finds himself tangled up in adventures with troublemaking classmates Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade, attempting to avoid the wrath of the Rose-Red Tyrant, Riddle Rosehearts.
Cast, Crew, and Musical Elements
The animation team was assembled to faithfully recreate the game’s world and originality, bringing back the voice cast from the mobile game. The Japanese voice cast features Natsuki Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts, Seiichiro Yamashita as Ace Trappola, Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Spade, Ryouta Suzuki as Trey Clover, and Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Cater Diamond, alongside Mitsuru Miyamoto as Dire Crowley and Noriaki Sugiyama as Grim.
Composer Takumi Ozawa, who has handled the game’s music since launch, returned to score the animation. The opening theme song is Piece of my world
performed by Night Ravens, while the ending theme song is titled “Obedience,” performed by the Heartslabyul dorm voice cast. Alongside the first-season release, Disney has already announced plans for Season 3, Episode of Octavinelle, extending the series’ exploration of Night Raven College’s dark history and dormitories.
