DisplayBuddy utility is redesigned and comes with more functions

Last year, we talked here about the DisplayBuddyan unpretentious utility created to help users control the brightness, contrast and volume levels of their external monitors connected to Macs.

Currently, there is nothing more unpretentious about the app, which has become a real hand on the wheel for several users — so much so that it got a new completely rebuilt version that adapts perfectly to macOS.

The app’s new look resembles the system’s Control Center, making it instantly familiar. The new window’s transparency also adapts to your Mac’s background image, whether in light or dark mode.

Plus, each display has its own space, and controls are retained until you need them—so when you expand them, you’ll see sliders and advanced adjustments like input source and off.

Some functions have also been revamped, for example:

presets: The feature, which allows you to save settings across multiple monitors and restore them with a single click, is now highlighted in the main tab and easier to use.
synchronization: Also gained an updated interface that allows you to easily select which view should be followed by others, showing you useful information when you need it most.

There are also many more smaller improvements, with new features like mute button support, HiDPI resolution selection, better keyboard handling, and more.

DisplayBuddy is still offered as a one-time purchase from US$17 (for a Mac) and will continue to receive all updates for free, including this latest one.
