With successes in the competitions he organized and participated in, June 2024 “closed” for the IOP.
The first three-day competition concerned the established Open Sea race “Trizonia 2024”, which has been organized for over 30 years by the Sailing Club of Patras and took place on Saturday 22nd and Holy Spirit, Monday 24th June, in the Gulf of Corinth.
25 boats and 120 crew members participated in the race.
The competitive, enchanting and sea three days gave all the participants wonderful sailings although the apnea that prevailed at the start of Monday troubled the sailors until the moment Aeolos changed his mind!
The stay in Trizonia left everyone with the best impressions and the impression left by the mission on the local market was also positive.
In the ORCA class the winners were the boats:
1. CALYPSO – Linardatos Panagiotis
2. IRIS – Dimitris Tselikas
3. IRIDANOS – Ratopoulos Sakis
and in the ORCB class the boats:
1. OKIROI – Theodorou Giorgos
2. SOFIA – Malamis Konstantinos
3. KALLISTI – Antoniadis Spyros
The Intercollegiate Race “Ai Sostis 2024” organized by the Nautical Club of Messolonghi, under the auspices of E.I.O.
In the race, 4 races were held for the Optimist and 5 races for the Ilca 4 and our athletes took the following positions:
In the Optimist U13 category, Telemachos Polychronopoulos took 1st place and Leonidas Argyros took 2nd place.
And in the Ilca 4 category, Ioannis Argyros took 3rd place.
Our athletes, Panagiotis Koutsouropoulos, Stelios Tranoris, Filippos Koutsouropoulos and Ariadni Dagounaki, also competed.
The team was accompanied by the coaches, Giorgos Hadjikonstantinou and Aristotelis Kouloumbis – Kalogeropoulos, Trigonou Commissioner Argyris Petratos and IOP President Konstantinos Kalogeropoulos. The competition was attended by the Southern Greece regent of EIO and vice-president of IOP, Konstantinos Georgopoulos.
