‘Divorce’ hits theaters on 24th | Cinema | Deshabhimani

Thiruvananthapuram’s ‘Divorce’ produced by the state government’s scheme to encourage women directors will hit theaters on 24th. Story, screenplay and direction by Mini IG. Produced under a Film Development Corporation project, the film tells the story of six women who go through divorce and their survival. Playwright and actress Mini’s debut film. Minister Saji Cherian released the first look poster of the film. A native of Poojapura, Mini Lal was an assistant to Jose and P Balachandran. Two films are about to be released. The first film produced under the project ‘Nishidho’ won the state government award. Two women directors, two from SC and ST categories are given Rs 1.5 crore each to make a film every year. Eight lakh rupees will be given as a reward to the debutant director. Special attention is also given to conveying the image to the people. It will also be available in OTT.
