The Korean Diabetes Association announced that the 2022 Impact Factor (IF) of the ‘Diabetes & Metabolism Journal (DMJ)’ was announced as 5.9.
This is a result of the JCR, a Web of Science-registered journal, operated by Clarivate Analytics, and ranked 37th out of 146 journals in the field of SCI-Endocrinology and Metabolism last year this year. It rose to 30th out of 145 journals.
Even in a situation where most of the 2022 impact factors of many authoritative endocrine and metabolism journals are decreasing, the DMJ Impact Factor has risen and ranked in the top 20% of endocrine journals, solidifying its position as a Q1 journal.
The society said, “DMJ started with an IF index of 3.263 in 2018 after being listed on the SCI in 2017, and now the IF has increased by about two times. that,” he said.
DMJ, published by the Korean Diabetes Association, started with the official journal (Korean version) ‘Diabetes (The Journal of Korean Diabetes Association)’ in 1972, and changed its name to ‘Korean Diabetes Journal’ in 2008. Converted to an English journal.
Since then, in 2011, with the publication of the 35th issue, it was newly founded as DMJ (Diabetes & Metabolism Journal) and has been published 6 times every other month until now. It is listed on MEDLINE and has 93 editorial board members from 21 countries.
The society said, “In the future, DMJ will take pride as an academic journal representing Asia and establish its status as an international academic journal.” he emphasized.
