Do players follow in the footsteps of Giuliano? Al-Rifai explains

Ayman Al-Rifai, legal advisor and head of the Discipline and Ethics Committee in the Saudi Football Association, confirmed that the player who agreed to deduct part of his salary during the period of stopping sports activity during the period of the spread of the Corona virus, has no right to return and claim it, unlike the case of the Brazilian Giuliano with the Saudi victory that happened on his financial dues, including the financial deduction for that period.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport “CAS” confirmed FIFA’s ruling against Al-Nasr Club and rejected his appeal regarding the Brazilian player’s dues, amounting to 6 million euros, including the deduction of part of his salary during the period of suspension of sports activity between March and August of 2020.

Al-Rifai said to the “In the Goal” program: The decision issued against Al-Nasr Club means the confirmation of the initial ruling and means that the latter is correct and acquires definitiveness. Therefore, they are not entitled to claim.
