Studies show that the body’s resistance to the common cold is prevented by the corona virus. People who acquire high levels of T cells through the common cold are less likely to develop Kovid, according to a study published in Nature Communications. The study was conducted by researchers at Imperial College London.
This is the first study to show that T cells act as a protective shield against covid. Researchers have previously found that T cells acquired by corona virus infection, including the common cold, can identify the SARS corona virus that causes Kovid. But a new study shows that this could be counterproductive.
The researchers said that their research was performed experimentally with infected cats and that those experiments did not show a mutation in the virus but did say that “such mutations cannot be ruled out.” They point out that such a vaccine could also prevent future variants of Kovid. T cells destroy the protein cell in the virus. Antibodies produced by vaccines work against the spike protein in the virus. Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus.
