Hwangbo, a member of the group Shakra, is being criticized for careless remarks about school violence.
On the 11th, a video titled “Hwangbo of the MZ generation knows that she is just a foreign sister on Instagram haha Wake up Ep. The video features Hwangbo appearing as a guest and sharing her story.
Yoon Seong-ho asked Hwang-bo, “Have you seen ‘The Glory’?” when Hwang-bo slapped him on the shoulder. In response, Hwangbo said, “I saw it. Where do you want me to iron it with a straightener?” he replied. Burning with a straightener is one of the representative assaults that Park Yeon-jin (Lim Ji-yeon), the perpetrator of school violence, had on Mun Dong-eun (Song Hye-kyo).
In response, Seongho Yoon said, “Have you ever had an earthquake when you were in school? Have you ever hit children?” Hwangbo replied, “No.
I’m really just an image. I have never been bullied at school,” he denied.
Recently, school violence has emerged as a social problem. In particular, there is a case where this straightener was used for actual school violence. In 2006, the ‘correcting school violence incident’ occurred in Cheongju. At the time, three middle school girls assaulted a student at the same school using a straightener, and the student admitted to using a straightener to burn the victim’s arm and using a book and clothespin to hurt him.
In the midst of this, while Hwangbo lightly mentions ‘correcting iron’, some point out that it is careless. Due to the controversy, the video has now been deleted.
