Doctor Rana Al-Labban did not know that her colleague, whom she defended, would be the cause of her death, as he was the famous doctor who was often referred to the Public Prosecution Office for the repeated accusation of the death of one of his patients as a result of a medical error.
A few days ago, the 29-year-old young doctor, daughter of Damietta Governorate, went to give birth in a medical center specialized in childbirth, which is run by a famous doctor, and during childbirth, she had severe bleeding that led to her death after she gave birth to her twin children, so that her family accused the doctor of causing her death.
The incident sparked a wave of anger on social media against the doctor, especially since it was not his first time. Over the course of a year, similar incidents occurred inside his maternity center. Last September, a patient died during a cesarean delivery, and Dr. Rana Al-Labban went out at the time to announce her solidarity with The doctor defends him in a post on her Facebook page.
“The doctor who was giving birth to her died at the hands of 6 women before that, and we want her right,” says one of the deceased doctor’s relatives, confirming that “Rana” was in good health and did not complain of any troubles during her pregnancy, but rather she was very happy after learning of her twin pregnancy.
The family of the deceased doctor filed a complaint with the Bandar Damietta Police Station accusing the doctor, “Ashraf. M”, by causing the death of the doctor, “Rana Al-Labban”, during her delivery by caesarean section, inside his medical center in the city of Damietta.
And the Public Prosecution in Damietta decided, yesterday evening, Tuesday, to release the doctor who owns a private medical center, and the anesthesiologist from the prosecution companies, after listening to their statements about the death of Dr. Medical error or not.
Initially, the Damietta First Police Department received a report stating that a doctor in the third decade of life, named Rana Al-Labban, who resides in the department, had died during a caesarean section in a private medical center in the city of Damietta, and immediately legal measures were taken and the report was referred to the Public Prosecution for direct Investigation.
Since yesterday morning, Tuesday, the Public Prosecution has begun investigations into the death of a female doctor in her thirties, after she gave birth to her twin children, inside a private medical center during childbirth, and summoned the owner of the center and the anesthesiologist.
While the Public Prosecution Office rushed to report the anatomy, to find out the causes of death, and to reveal the circumstances of the symptoms that the deceased doctor suffered from before her death.
While the doctor, owner of a famous medical center in Damietta, confirmed that he had performed a caesarean section on the deceased doctor, and after waking up, she suffered suffocation due to a blood clot in the trachea, which caused a lack of oxygen, which caused her death.
He indicated that she was transferred to the intensive care room, in an attempt to save her, but she breathed her last, stressing that this medical condition is rare and difficult to treat, and that these attempts are only motivating factors to restore breathing to normal again, according to his statements before the Public Prosecution.
On the other hand, Dr. El-Sayed Abdel-Gawad, Undersecretary of Health in Damietta, confirmed in a statement that he had ordered the formation of a health committee, consisting of specialized doctors, to find out the causes of death, noting that the center had another incident last year also during childbirth, which sparked social networking sites. .
